To ensure the well-being of individuals and communities, access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities is essential. Community water health and sanitation facilitation is a crucial aspect for maintaining good health and preventing the spread of diseases.
How do we proceed?
Facilitating this access involves providing education and resources to communities. We use social and behaviour change activities to educate these communities to have a better understanding of how to maintain clean water sources and proper sanitation practices. More specific training is provided on simple water recycling practices and clean water harvesting techniques.
Partnerships between local governments, non-governmental organizations, and community members themselves provide resources for building and maintaining water infrastructure. These include wells and water treatment facilities.
For sustainability and resilience amongst rural communities, our approach and intervention is an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). It’s a sustainable approach that helps us address the socio-economic needs of all stakeholders in a watershed, preserving the environment and considering the needs of future generations.
