Marginalized populations often lack access to basic resources such as clean water, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. By providing them with these resources, we create a more equitable society and improve their quality of life. This is a crucial step towards achieving sustainable development goals.
Our Action
To break the cycle of poverty and achieve sustainable development, we improve their livelihoods through education. Education equips them with the skills to access better jobs and increase their income.
Providing vocational training for specific skills such as agriculture (simple post-harvest techniques and value addition), handicrafts, and small businesses can create more job opportunities.
Also, to reduce the burden of disease, ensuring access to basic infrastructure such practical healthcare services leads to a more productive workforce.
In addition, microfinance programs can provide financial support to start small businesses, which can generate income and improve their standard of living.
Historically oppressed and marginalized groups
They have faced systemic discrimination and exclusion from mainstream society for centuries. These groups include but are not limited to, people of color, women, people with disabilities, the aged, and religious minorities.
The struggle for equality and social justice for these groups has been ongoing. We work tirelessly to challenge and dismantle oppressive systems.
What We Do Now
Addressing the challenges faced by historically oppressed and marginalized groups is fulfilling work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society. It’s achieved through education, advocacy, and policy changes that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
By recognizing and valuing the experiences and perspectives of all individuals, we can create a society that uplifts and empowers everyone.
